The main residence routes and their thresholds
Residence permits are decided by the State Services Development Agency. The official processing fee depends on the time chosen: 300 GEL for a decision within 30 days, 450 GEL within 20 days or 600 GEL within 10 days. A work residence permit rests on employment or entrepreneurial activity in Georgia, supported by evidence of income or turnover.
An investment residence permit requires an investment of at least USD 300,000, or qualifying non-agricultural real estate of at least that value. IT residence routes are open to registered IT labour immigrants, to qualifying entrepreneurs with small business status and to authorised representatives of an International Company in IT. We confirm the best route before any document is prepared.

Do I need a permit for the first year?
Citizens of 95+ countries can stay visa-free for up to one year. A permit is needed for stays beyond that, or to work legally as an employee.
What are the investment thresholds?
